Traum to be played with a wind controller such as the Yamaha
WX5, WX7, WX11, WindJamm'r, Akai EWI, EVI, EWI4000s, MIDI EVI,
MDT, or Softwind Synthophone. These highly expressive sounds
are also fantastic for keyboardists when used with a Yamaha BC1,
BC2, or BC3 breath controller plugged into a keyboard equipped
with a breath controller input, or plugged into a device such
as the MIDI
Solutions Breath Controller Box or the Anatek Wind Machine
(out of production). These sounds require a wind controller
or breath controller for proper use.
Casio DH-100 / DH-200 OWNERS! Since these sounds are
set up to respond fully to aftertouch data, they work GREAT with
the Casio DH Series horns such as the DH-100 and DH-200.
X5DR Volume 1 is an outstanding value containing 200 new
Pro Patches! This soundbank was designed to be useful to a horn
player. You'll find lots of highly expressive ensemble, layered,
and solo instruments, acoustic emulations, breathy wind instruments,

Formats: This soundbank is available in Mac or PC Standard MIDIfile, PC .SYX, Mac Self Loader, Korg X5/05 SoundEditor file (can be opened with the PC/Mac X5/05 SoundEditor software that Korg shipped with the 05R/W), and Opcode formats. Click here for an explanation of the various formats.
Attention: Please note that these sounds require that you send Aftertouch from a wind controller or breath controller. Breath controller users and WX5, WX11, and WindJamm'r users will need to use a device such as the MIDI Solutions Event Processor or Anatek's Pocket Mapper or Wind Machine to remap breath controller data to aftertouch. Unlike our other wind controller banks, this soundbank is set up to respond to aftertouch data (not breath controller data) because the X5DR is not capable of directly responding to breath controller data. "Way Cool! The sounds are great. I knew they would be. The response is good. Some patches allow for flutter tonguing. I was so pleasantly surprised. The strings, percussion, guitars, and analog sounds are great. The non-emulative or analog Combi's are especially good. All are very full sounding. Distortion guitar is good too. I love the EVI, and Brecker Programs and Combi's. The Metheny sounds are quite good too. Can I say it sounds great again?"
