Matt's Time Machine

Welcome to Matt's Time MachineMatt's Time Machine

My name is Matt, and I specialize in HandyCam video and audio transfer, digitizing, restoring, archiving, repairing, and converting a wide variety of media. Formats include video and audio recordings, photos, negatives, slides, and computer data formats. I specialize in recovering damaged or non-playable media. If I am not able to recover your media, you pay nothing- other than the cost of return shipping.

I convert, repair, upscale, clean, and restore your old recordings, family videos, films, photos, and files into modern file formats which can then be easily backed up and saved onto various modern physical storage formats such as a portable USB hard drive or USB thumb drive memory stick, CD ROM, or DVD any of which can be easily distributed to others. Or I can upload the restored data files onto online media services of your choice such as YouTube, Google Drive, DropBox, WeTransfer, etc.

Have you tried LegacyBox, Kodak Digitizing Services, Costco, or Southtree and was disappointed only to get back a bunch supposedly "defective" or "unplayable" or "unconvertable" tapes with stickers on them? They took your money but didn't actually digitize anything? Really?!

Well, DON'T THROW THEM OUT! I specialize in the restoration of media, and most likely I can save all those precious recordings that the other services said couldn't be saved. Not only that, I can get them looking and sounding better than any other service can. Unlike those large impersonal services that are not able to offer anything more than an assembly line run by robots that place "defective" stickers on tapes, I am a small business and I care about recovering your memories- and I am able to adapt and take the time needed to do the job right.

Matt's Time MachineI am experienced in video, audio, and photo restoration. If you have something that is extra special, I offer not only digitizing services, but RESTORATION services as well. I can remove noise and other distractions in audio recordings. I can reduce graininess and fix color issues, upscale video, remove blank areas, and provide many other amazing improvements. As a lifetime musician and sound designer, I have a trained sensitive ear and the requisite audio editing skills to apply the proper corrections to make your precious recordings look and sound their very best!

Do you have boxes of old family photos? I can digitize them and put them on a portable media storage device that you can easily copy and distribute to your family members for future generations to enjoy. Yes, I can also repair broken or damaged tapes and extract the valuable contents from them.

The most important thing is to NOT WAIT. All magnetic-based media and printed media deteriorate over time- even CD ROMs. The longer you wait, the greater the risk of permanently losing the data and your precious memories. In time all media will fail beyond the point of recovery and then it is gone forever. So if you are in the USA and you have a project in mind, email me at matt@patchmanmusic.com to inquire about my services and what I can do for you to preserve your precious memories.
