Here is some general information regarding how to load a soundbank via MIDI using a computer: First off, you need to connect the synth to the computer. This is generally done via a MIDI OUT connector on your sound card (if it has one). Your soundcard company can help you with this if you are not sure about this. Often times, an MIDI IN/OUT adaptor cable is included with the sound card. If not, you may need to buy a simple and inexpensive adaptor cable to add MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports to a sound card. Alternatively, you may be able to connect your synth directly to the serial port on your computer if your synth has a serial connector on it. Many newer synths feature a serial port on them. Sometimes a special serial cable is required. Your synth manual or manufacturer should have detailed information on what is required. Our soundbanks are generally shipped in the form of a MIDIfile (.MID) and Sysex file (.SYX). Midifiles can generally be loaded into a MIDI sequencer such as Cakewalk, Sonar, Cubase, Logic, Performer, Power Tracks Pro, Vision, etc. or Midifile player and then transmitted via the MIDI OUT from the computer. Sysex files can be loaded into various free utilities and then transmitted to your synth via the MIDI OUT cable from the computer. Below you will find links to numerous programs and utilities that can transmit SysEx data and Midifiles. Chances are excellent that one of these will work with your setup... Matt
