Patchman Music, the leader in breath controlled sound design is pleased to announce the release of this brand new wind controller / breath controller soundbank for the Propellerhead THOR Polysonic softsynth. This all-new Patchman Music soundbank was specifically designed and expertly programmed by professional wind controller player / master wind controller sound designer Matt Traum to be controlled with a wind controller such as the Akai EWI USB, EWI SOLO, Akai EWI4000s, Akai EWI5000, EVI, MIDI EVI, Yamaha WX5, WX7, WX11, WindJamm'r, MDT, NuEVI, NuRAD, Aodyo Sylphyo, or Softwind Synthophone. These highly expressive sounds are also fantastic for keyboardists when used with a Yamaha BC1, BC2, or BC3a or similar breath controller plugged into a keyboard equipped with a breath controller input, or plugged into a device such as the MIDI Solutions Breath Controller Box or the Anatek Wind Machine (out of production). These THOR sounds load into the THOR softsynth- these sounds DO NOT load inside a wind controller.
This specially designed THOR soundbank works superbly with either the Reason THOR softsynth or the THOR iPad app! THOR is an extremely versatile softsynth for Mac, PC, and iPad that works incredibly well with wind controllers and breath controllers when programmed properly for that purpose. We are extremely impressed with the range of sounds and the superb response we were able to get out of the THOR softsynth. If you thought high quality breath response was not possible in a digital soft synth- think again. These are the amongst the finest and most diversified wind controller sounds we have ever produced in a single soundbank. Wind Controller #1 - Patchman Music Volume 1 soundbank for the Propellerhead THOR softsynth contains 100 all-new incredibly expressive sounds specially optimized to respond to a wind controller or breath controller with full breath response. These are completely new sounds from wind controller guru and master sound designer Matt Traum that have been fully programmed to respond correctly to your breath. THOR Volume 1 contains a huge variety of classic analog timbres, amazing acoustic emulations, bright FM/DX type sounds, massive fat layers, huge chorded patches, as well as the amazing Rotator Chorded patches like Michael Brecker used with his Oberheim Xpander. iPad users take note- this soundbank changes everything! You simply will not believe that your iPad can sound this good! For keyboardists using a breath controller, we have included various expressive nuances controlled via the mod wheel in many of the patches. The legato implementation and overall breath response and dynamic range are superb making these sounds incredibly fun and satisfying to play. I already had purchased both volumes of your M1 Legacy patches, and having read that the iM1 supported original M1 patches as well as the Legacy patches, I immediately had to figure out how to get them over to the iPad. Once I got them on the iPad, I was very impressed with response. But these THOR patches take it to an entirely new level. You probably already know this, but I realized that I can use Audiobus to load an instance of THOR AND iM1 simultaneously, and layer the two together! This is SMOKIN'!
