USED Casio DH-100 MIDI Wind Controller

Sax style MIDI wind controller. Casio has made an electronic saxophone that is so easy to play you won't believe it. The DH-100 has the unique claim to be the only SELF-CONTAINED wind controller. Unlike other wind controllers, the DH-100 can be powered via batteries, has a built-in sound generator, amplifier, and speaker, so you can play it in a parade or on the beach! It features built-in sounds as well as a MIDI OUT jack which allows you to expressively control MIDI synths. It also has a built-in synth featuring SIX sounds: saxophone, trumpet, synth-reed, oboe, clarinet, and flute. There is a built-in speaker with volume control.

There are switches to select the sound, transpose (2 octaves), and a Breath switch which allows you to play the horn without needing to blow into it if desired. There are also connections for headphones, MIDI OUT, and an AC adaptor (AC adaptor not included). The DH-100 also runs on five "AA" batteries making wireless a possibility using a standard wireless guitar system. There is a power-on LED indicator. It was recently professionally serviced, reconditioned, and cleaned by wind controller expert Matt Traum at Patchman Music (www.patchmanmusic.com/dh100.html) with an upgrade to prevent squealing (a common problem with these horns if not upgraded)- a $90 value included!

The DH-100 is a rather expressive MIDI controller. It transmits the full range of aftertouch data in response to your breath. It transmits variable velocity in response to how hard you attack a note. It transmits program changes 0 through 5 when you select the various tones with the tone button. It also transmits Portamento Switch (CC#65) when you press the Portamento key. This is a great way to get into the wonderful world of wind controllers.

The unit is in good shape and has been cleaned, fully checked out by professional wind controller repair tech Matt Traum, and is in 100% working condition. Cosmetically, there may be dings, scuffs, markings, engravings, etc from normal use but nothing interfering with functionality. This item includes the DH-100 and a mouthpiece. Here is an EXTREMELY RARE DH-200 model Casio MIDI wind controller. This BLACK model DH-200 is identical to the DH-100 except for the color. RARE!! Original Casio DH-100 / DH-200 Books

Here are two ORIGINAL books in used condition for the Casio DH-100 and DH-200.

Included are two books- "Getting Started with your Casio Digital Horn" and "The Casio Digital Horn Songbook".

These books are extremely rare and not available anywhere else. They were written specifically for the Casio DH Midi Horn. They are in beautiful condition with no writing or tears in them.

"Getting Started with your Casio Digital Horn" is 64 pages and includes exercises and fingering tips, help reading music, ranges, tips on using the Casio DH etc... (There was a cassette tape that was supposed to accompany this book but we do not have the tape and it is not included).

"The Casio Digital Horn Songbook" is 32 pages and includes 12 songs in large note format. Songs include "Califronia Girls", "Feelings", "Splish Splash", "Tennesee Waltz", "New York, New York", "Tonight I Celebrate My Love", and more.

These are original books- not blurry photocopies or computer printouts.
