All PATCHMAN MUSIC, LLC wind controller soundbanks have been programmed specifically for use with wind controllers such as the Yamaha WX5, WX7, WX11, WindJamm'r, Akai EWI USB, EWI4000S, EWI3020, EWI3000, or EVI1000, Nyle Steiner's MIDI EVI or EWI, MDT, or Softwind Synthophone.

Keyboardists can also enjoy these highly expressive sounds by using a Yamaha BC1, BC2, or BC3 breath controller plugged into a synth equipped with a breath controller input or into a device such as the MIDI Solutions Breath Controller Box or Anatek Wind Machine. (The Wind Machine is no longer in production.) The Yamaha BC3a is the current model breath controller. The MIDI Solutions Breath Controller Box and Anatek Wind Machine are small, pocket-sized boxes that have a MIDI IN and OUT and a breath controller input jack. They allow you to merge breath controller data into the MIDI signal.

You can be sure these sounds are extremely usable and of the highest quality. A great deal of time has gone into making these soundbanks as expressive as possible. No programming is needed; simply load them into your synth and you're ready to go!
Whenever possible, PATCHMAN MUSIC, LLC wind controller soundbanks have been set-up to respond to breath controller data (MIDI Continuous Controller #2). However, some synths and samplers, particularly some Korg synths, are not able to respond to breath controller data directly. In these cases, we have set up the patches to respond fully to aftertouch data instead. Since the Korg 05R/W, M1, M3R, T1, T2, T3, and X5DR are not capable of responding to breath controller, those soundbanks have been set up to respond fully to your breath expression by using aftertouch data. The Yamaha WX5, WX11, and WindJamm'r are NOT capable of transmitting aftertouch data. If you are using one of these controllers with one of the above Korg synths, you will need to use a device such as the MIDI Solutions Event Processor, Anatek Pocket Mapper, MIDI Solutions Breath Controller Box, or Anatek Wind Machine to remap breath controller data into aftertouch data. Casio DH-100 / DH-200 OWNERS TAKE NOTE: Since our Korg 05R/W, M1, M3R, T1, T2, T3, and X5DR sounds are set up to respond fully to aftertouch data, they work GREAT with the Casio DH Series horns such as the DH-100 and DH-200. If you wish to use the Casio Horn with our other banks that are set up to respond to breath controller data (MIDI Continuous Controller #2), then you will need a MIDI mapper to map the Casio's Aftertouch data into Breath Controller data. For this, we recommend the MIDI Solutions Event Processor.
All PATCHMAN MUSIC, LLC wind controller patches (except 05R/W, M1, M3R, T1, T2, T3, & X5DR Volumes) are designated with an astrisk (*) preceding the name for easy identification. The 05R/W, M1, M3R, T1, T2, T3, & X5DR wind controller soundbanks use the "@" in front of the name to indicate "aftertouch".
Mono-mode patches are used when appropriate.
All patches respond naturally and "feel right". You are going to love playing them!
Loading instructions are included with every wind controller soundbank.
