Attention: Most of these sounds require the use of a wind controller or breath controller. These sounds require MIDI continuous controller #2 (breath controller) in order to make any sound. If you do not have one of these devices, it is possible to use these highly expressive sounds with a controller pedal plugged into the Z1. We have set up these sounds to respond to the pedal as though it were a breath controller. By coordinating your foot with your finger technique, you can very effectively coax expressive control over the timbre of these sounds. Please keep in mind that many of these sounds are set up in mono-legato mode and have their envelopes tweaked for wind controller use. For optimum results we recommend using a wind controller or breath controller. |

"I am very pleased with my purchase. The soundbank has a number of very musical emulations, and I know I will get a lot of enjoyable playing out of them. Brass: Some very nice solo trumpet and trombone patches...very playable, and some have qualities I like better than anything in my VL1-m library. Nice brassy blat, and I very much like some of the color changes available on the x-y pad controller. Saxes: I was surprised that I liked the saxes as much as I do, especially the Tenor. Guitars: I think the guitars are very good. I like the way the X-Y pad can control the pluckiness of the attack. Basses: Another strong area, and the synth basses sound great routed through the Z1 filter section. Analog Synth: The Z1 is strong in this category anyway, and the bank provides a number of good sounding analog synths with wind control. Oboe & Bassoon: Nicely done, the bassoon I like very much. Digerido: Great emulation. I love the trumpets, trombone, bassoon, guitars, and basses. Patchman has done a fine job with this collection."
"Hello Dear Patchman Team. Thanks, the Korg Z1 patch received many thanks, everything went well, and the sounds are a master strong performance."
"The Funky Bari Sax patch is absolutely wonderful. Some of the Multis that use modeled acoustic instruments are quite nice. As for the analog emulations- ahhhhhh. The EWI emulations are nice, and I think I'll end up using a lot of the single patches. But some of the Multis simply blew me away. I found myself playing the Brecker chord Multis for hours. The attention to detail in some of these is wonderful- having the user knobs control individual voice pitches is terrific. My usual criterion for whether a bank of commercial sounds is worthwhile is that it contain five really useful sounds. By this standard, the Z1 bank is way beyond worthwhile."
