Here is a hard to find Yamaha WX7 sax-style MIDI Wind Controller. We have installed a BRAND NEW REED and have put it through our wind controller shop and checked it out completely. The instrument looks good. The original Yamaha hardshell case is included. The case has a small crack on the bottom which doesn't affect operation in any way. The inside of the case is in good condition. This WX7 has been tested and adjusted by wind controller expert Matt Traum in the Patchman Music wind controller lab (www.patchmanmusic.com) to work correctly right out of the box. Everything works well though the rubber boot inside the mouthpiece is starting to get stiff due to age. It should be good for a while but may need to be replaced down the line. Depending on your situation, you may also need to purchase either a Yamaha BT7 battery pack or a Windworks WW-Bat Battery Pack to use this WX7. If you have a VL70-m, WT11, or MFC10 then you simply need to use a WX Extension Cable (not included but available here) to connect to these devices. Otherwise you will need the BT7 or WW-Bat which converts the WX signal into a MIDI OUT. Please contact Matt at Patchman Music if you have any questions about what might be required. Many serious wind controller players maintain the WX7 is the finest wind controller Yamaha ever produced. The WX7 seems like it was built to last and withstand professional use. Yamaha WX11 MIDI Wind Controller with WX Extension Cable, Padded Pouch and Manual

This Yamaha WX11 is a professional level sax-style wind controller. This instrument is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Everything has been checked out and works great. It has been cleaned, tested, and adjusted by wind controller expert Matt Traum in the Patchman Music lab (www.patchmanmusic.com). All 14 keyswitches have been replaced (a $125 value). A brand new reed and 2 new reed screws have been professionally installed (a $20 value) in our shop. The mouthpiece has some bite indentations but is still quite usable. Here is a Yamaha WT11 FM Wind Controller sound module in SUPERB CONDITION with the Patchman Music WT11 Volume 1 soundbank pre-installed (a $40 value). The Yamaha WT11 features 96 Preset patches, 32 User patch memories, 10 built-in digital effects, plus a WX IN jack for directly connecting a WX5, WX7, or WX11 wind controller (not included). This FM synth can also be controlled via MIDI from any wind controller or keyboard. Complete Akai EWI3020 & EWI3030m EWI System w/Patchman Music EWI3030m Soundbank

This complete system is ready to play right out of the box! All you need is an amp to plug it into (or a pair of headphones) and a 1/4" cable. This system uses control voltage internally for super fast response to your playing gestures. It includes an EWI3020 controller, the EWI3030m rack mount PCM module, an EWI connecting cable, and the wonderful Patchman Music EWI3030m Volume 1 soundbank (a $50 value) pre-installed and backed up on CD ROM. RARE!! Yamaha MFC2 Wind Controller MIDI Footpedal

The Yamaha MFC2 is a unique and special foot controller specifically designed for wind controller players. Yes, there are other MIDI Footpedals on the market, but this is the only one ever made with the unique wind controller sustain mode! This allows you to SUSTAIN A BREATH CONTROLLED NOTE. Note that is more complicated than a simple sustain pedal since the breath level has to be sustained as well and this feature is unique to the MFC2. No other footpedal can do this! The MFC2 can also send any of 30 different Programs Changes per Preset group- and there are 8 Preset groups. In addition, each program number has 6 different parameters which can be programmed to add new functions to the wind controller. It is possible to control two different MIDI channels - and thus two different voices (if your sound module does this) - simultaneously but in slightly different ways. A key hold footswitch can be used, for example, to sustain a breath controlled note on one channel, while breath and lip data from the wind controller have varying effects on each channel. The MFC2 allows a wind controller player to play a note on one MIDI channel (and this note might be a chorded patches), then jam over that sustained note on a second MIDI channel (if your synth is polyphonic). Akai EWV2000 Analog Sound Module w/Patchman Music Soundbanks (Controller & Connecting Cable NOT included) - PRICE REDUCED!!!

This is the original model super-smooth sounding REAL ANALOG EWV2000 analog synth module. This is the module specially designed for use with the Akai EWI1000 or EVI1000 wind controllers (not included). RARE!! Steiner / Crumar EVI CUSTOM MODIFIED by EVI Guru Matt Traum - JUST ADDED!

Attention BRASS players! Here is a very rare Crumar EVI brass-style analog wind controller designed by the great Nyle Steiner, marketed in the early 1980's by the Italian company Crumar, and recently restored and custom modified by Matt Traum at Patchman Music. This EVI is from the personal collection of EVI player Matt Traum and has been hot-rodded with his Ribbon Cable mod (a $150 value). Click here for info. This Crumar EVI is strictly analog- there are no MIDI capabilities on this unit. Since it is TRUE ANALOG, it has an incredibly smooth and responsive sound. You can literally hum while playing and the breath sensor is so fast that it will modulate the sound coming from the synth! The custom Ribbon Cable modification fixes the weak spot of a stock model. That is- the hardwired cable tends to fail. Repairing it is a lengthy and costly repair job. With this included mod, replacing the cable becomes a very simple, fast, and inexpensive process that the owner can do themselves. Plus, you can easily make new cables any length you want! The Crumar EVI has an incredibly expressive and beautiful sound. You can listen to numerous mp3 clips of the Crumar EVI in action here. RARE!! Boss FC-50 Midi Foot Controller - JUST ADDED!

This durable but lightweight Boss FC-50 Midi Foot Controller is a pedal-operated MIDI remote controller is ideal for use with a range of MIDI devices such as effects processors, keyboards, guitar synthesizers, and sound modules, enabling you to control MIDI devices by foot. Especially suitable for live applications, the FC-50's rear panel jacks can accommodate two footswitches (such as the Boss FS-5U/L) and two expression pedals. You can select any of 128 possible program change messages using the FC-50's five Number pedals, A/B Group pedal and up/down number selection buttons, which enable choice among 13 Banks. RARE!! Yamaha KX5 Strap On Keyboard (Silver Model)

Here is a very cool vintage SILVER Yamaha KX5 strap on keyboard. This KX5 is in decent condition as it has a lot of miles on it. It appears as though it has been modded a bit in the past as there is a hole where probably a DC power jack was added. That DC power jack has since been removed. This unit works but it has some issues that you need to know about. Because of these issues, there are no guarantees or warrantees on this item whatsoever. 1.) The MIDI Channel select switch does not work so the unit transmits on MIDI channel 1 only. 2.) The three Octave Transpose switches do not work. 3.) Aftertouch does not work. 4.) The plastic covering on the Battery clip is cut (probably so that it could be re-soldered)- it works fine though. All in all, the unit is still usable and is still a collector's item. This SILVER model seems to be more rare than the black model. With a little TLC and/or a visit to a tech, the previous issues might be fixed. All the other features seems to work including the Ribbon Bend Sensor, the Mod and Volume wheels, the Breath controller input, the portamento knob and switch, and the program change switches. The Yamaha KX5 was introduced the same year as the DX7 synth and was one of the first "remote" MIDI controllers designed to be worn like a guitar allowing the player to roam around the stage. Chick Corea used this model for a long time. It has no built-in sounds of its own- it is strictly a MIDI controller. The KX5 features a 37 note velocity sensitive keyboard with dedicated Program Change switches- 4 banks of 8, for 32 program changes instantly selectable, a dedicated Portamento Time knob, a dedicated Mono/Poly Mode switch, a Portamento On/Off switch, 3 Octave Transpose switches (Octave Down/None/Up). There is also a Breath Controller input for use with a BC1, BC2, or BC3a Yamaha breath controller, and a MIDI Output jack. The KX5 is powered by 6 "AA" Batteries internally and gets up to 7 hours of playing time from them- more than enough to get you through the gig without worries. When using batteries it is possible to use a MIDI wireless system like the Midi Jet Pro available from Patchman Music here for completely wireless freedom. The left hand controls include a dedicated Momentary Sustain On/Off switch, MIDI Volume wheel, MIDI Mod Wheel, and a Pitch Ribbon as found on some Moog synths that allows cool expressive bends and guitar-like hammer ons. The length of the keys are about 2/3 normal size, but they are quite very playable. If you want further info, the owners manual is available here.
