The VL7 Physical Modeling keyboard is extremely hard to find! It is specially designed for use with a breath controller or a MIDI wind controller. This VL7 has the VERSION 2 OS installed (a $200 value)! The Yamaha VL7 has exactly the same specs, high quality response, and effects as its big brothers the VL1 and VL1-m except that it is monophonic (not duophonic) and it holds 64 patches (instead of 128). The VL7 has an amazing amount of interactive control to say the least! We count 12 possible controllers on this keyboard- a Breath Controller input, velocity, aftertouch, 2 rubberized Mod Wheels, 1 rubberized Pitchbend Wheel, 2 Continuous Sliders, 2 Continuous Foot Pedal inputs, and 2 Foot Switch inputs. (Foot pedals and foot controllers are not included but available here from Patchman Music). It also has Octave Up and Octave Down buttons and a built-in floppy drive for saving and loading patches quickly.

This keyboard has been checked out in the Patchman Music shop by wind controller expert Matt Traum and is in good condition and fully working. This VL7 has some significant scratches on the top towards the back of the unit (see photo). Also, the area near the 3 controller wheels was cracked in two places but has been repaired- though the cracks are still visible (see photo). These flaws are all just cosmetic and do not affect performance in any way. The rest of the synth is in very good condition. All the keys, buttons, and sliders work great. The belt in the floppy drive was recently replaced by Patchman Music (a $125 value). This sale includes the Yamaha VL7 Physical Modeling synth, the Patchman Music VL1 Volumes 1 and 2 (a $90 value). The Voyager Rack Mount Edition contains all the synthesis functions of the award-winning Voyager. Custom Footswitch for EWV2000, EWI3020m, EWI3030m - PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here is a unique customized footswitch modded by Matt Traum at Patchman Music to work with the Akai EWV2000, EWI3020m, or EWI3030m sound modules.

This footpedal allows the user to go up and down through patches on the EWV2000, EWI3020m, and EWI3030m with the foot. Simply plug it in with the included new 15 foot cable and you can the increment or decrement though the patches without taking your hands off the horn.

This footswitch features some cool LED indicators - Red for Program Down and Green for Program Up. When you press one of the switches the corresponding LED lights.

This pedal has been modded internally and is one of a kind. It requires no batteries. Everything you need is included. (EWI Module NOT included.)

This is a super-rare early model EVI with customized Steiner MicroCon synth module. This system was hand built and customized by the inventor of the EVI and EWI Nyle Steiner himself.

This system is really for the serious Steiner synth collector / synth history buff. It would certainly be welcomed at any electronic musical instrument museum.

This system is in fully working condition and has been completely gone over by EVI player and wind controller repair expert Matt Traum here at Patchman Music. It is in completely playable condition.

This Steiner EVI is one of the earlier models made by Nyle Steiner. It features a proportional breath transducer so it responds to the player's breath pressure smoothly. Steiner developed some very clever designs in this instrument including a balloon inside the body that applies pressure to a flexible capacitative sensor to create a very sensitive and expressive response to the player's breath pressure. This horn has no key deglitching algorithm- this is before Steiner developed a way to do that! It also has an early version of the vibrato sensor which Nyle developed that uses a piezo crystal sensor! Amazing stuff from an amazing musical pioneer.

Please note that this system is really intended to be sold to a collector or someone who is knowledgeable about analog synthesis. As it is a 100% analog synth and quite esoteric, it will likely require tender loving care in its future and it is subject to all the idiosyncrasies that go along with vintage analog gear. This is a vintage piece of gear so there are no returns on these items and we cannot make any warantees on these items.

Oberheim Xpander - PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here it is- the king of all analog synths and one of the greatest wind controller synth modules ever made!

The Oberheim Xpander is a monster synth. Basically it consists of 6 seperate analog synths. Each of the 6 parts can be a completely different patch and each of those can be playing a different pitch- and the pitch can rotate in a cycle creating massive chord collages. This is how EWI great Michael Brecker got those amazing sounds on his early EWI recordings. Check out this live recording of Michael Brecker playing the Xpander on his tune "Original Rays". This Xpander is in great shape.

All the functions have been checked out by Matt Traum here in the Patchman Music shop and are working.

Warning: This synth is a deep and complex synth. To get the most from it you really need to dig in and learn about it. A ton of great info and links on this amazing synth are here.

Pair of DBX 163x Over Easy Compressor/Limiters (Two units) - PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here is a PAIR of VINTAGE ORIGINAL dbx 163x compressor/limiters (not the earlier 163 model).

These vintage DBX163x model compressors sound great and are SO easy to use. They are practically idiot proof. They sound great on vocals, drums, bass, guitars - pretty much anything that needs a little fattening up. They're also great for really squashing room mics.

They're very simple to use - just slide the slider to the right until you've got the amount of compression you need. The LEDs show how much gain reduction the unit is providing. At high levels of gain reduction these can get really nasty, in a good way. The front panel of each unit also features a 1/4" "Hi-Z" input (for guitars) and a "Level Set" trimmer.

I've owned these units for several years and they have been kept in a smoke free studio with clean regulated power. They both have been checked out and work great. The inputs and outputs are standard 1/4" jacks. On the rear panel there is "high impedance" trimmer that lets you vary the level so you can easily interface these with most gear. The rear panel also has a "Stereo Strapping" 1/4" jack and "slave/master" switch.

BBE 362 Rackmount Sonic Maximizer- PRICE REDUCED!!!

This is a used but excellent condition BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer. It is in perfect working condition. There are no missing or broken parts. This unit is a great choice for a band or DJ to brighten up the overall sound. It really makes vocals shine and more intelligible. It is a stereo unit but has just two knobs that control both channels at once. One knob is for the the Process level (brightness) and the other is the Low Contour (bass). There also is a bypass switch on the front panel for comparing the effected and dry sound. The AC power cord on this unit has been shortened for a cleaner installation in a rack.

This unit gives your live or studio sound much more clarity without sounding too brittle. It also sounds great on acoustic guitars and drums. On the rear are two unbalanced 1/4" ins and 2 unbalanced 1/4" outs. It features +16dBu of headroom so it is a set-and-forget type of device. The BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer is ideal for use in pro and semi-pro sound reinforcement, mobile DJ systems, discos, and re-clarifying cassette/video dubs. Here is a beautiful condition MOTU Mark Of The Unicorn 2408 Hard Disk Recording System / Hardware Interface set up. This system is in superb condition- the 2408 rack mount box has never been rack mounted.

Included with this sale is the MOTU 2408 Rack Mount interface box, the MOTU PCI-324 PCI card, an audiowire cable, power cord, original Owner's Manual, original Installer CD ROM, and even the original box! Please note that this system is the Mark I original version thus it is not compatible with current newer computers. We have been using it with a Mac running OS version 9.2.2 and it works great. Soundcraft Spirit 328 Digital Mixer- PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here is the mixer that was the center of the studio here at Patchman Music for many years- the Soundcraft Spirit 328. This mixer was purchased after an exhaustive search for the right balance of inputs, outputs, features, sound, and ease of use.

This mixer is superb in every way. It has complete recall of all parameters so you can set up your mix and save all the settings- a great feature for a live band as well. Other features include up to 42 inputs at mixdown, 8-buses, 16 mic/line inputs with switchable phantom power, 5 stereo inputs, 16 digital tape returns on ADAT Optical and TDIF formats. It is also possible to record 16 seperate tracks at once to your DAW via 2 ADAT optical or TDIF outs which are all built-in. All inputs have access to excellent sounding 3-band parametric EQ and 4 auxes. There are 2 independent Lexicon digital effects processors (reverb, delay, etc...) and 2 independent dynamics processors built in to this mixer making it great for live sound situations as well. There are 16 audio meters- one for each input. Also Solo-in-place, AFL and PFL solos, Machine control and 2 consoles can be cascaded. It's been a pleasure working with this board and we are sure you will enjoy it too. There is a very slight dent in the top rear of the unit which is visible in the blown up rear photo above. This is purely cosmetic and barely noticable, but we wanted to mention it nonetheless.

Korg Wavestation SR Synth (Not Working)- PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here is a non-working Korg Wavestation SR single space rack mount synth module.

This synth is pretty good physical condition. The buttons all work, the LCD is bright and all the pixels seem to work. Audio is output and the rack ears are in pretty good shape.

This unit is not working properly though. When it is fed MIDI data it locks up and resets.

Also if one of the factory demos songs are played, the unit will lock up and reset.

We had a look at the unit and cannot find the trouble.

Perhaps someone can fix it or use it for its good parts. Even if you part it out you could make more than you pay for this.

Here is a very nice carrying case for trumpet in a beautiful maroon / purplish color.

Inside there is a soft black padded plush liner to caress your trumpet.

It has a hard outer shell to protect your trumpet covered with what seems to be a nylon cordura.

There are 4 feet on the bottom and 4 feet on the end.

It's in pretty good shape.

It features a pocket on the side with a zipper to hold some small accessories (mouthpieces, pencils, etc...).

This trumpet gig bag is a basic soft carrying bag for a trumpet. It appears to be made out of cordura nylon. It's in pretty good shape. It features a pocket on the side with a zipper to hold some small accessories (mouthpieces, pencils, etc...). It is black and has a handle and hooks for a shoulder strap (not shown but it IS included). The padding is not terribly thick (this is not a hard shell type case) but it is very lightweight and will be perfect for carrying around your horn on short trips between rehearsals.

This Mackie MicroSeries 1202 Mixer is in great shape and has been checked out here by Matt Traum at Patchman Music. This is a SUPERB SOUNDING, compact mixer. One really great feature on this unit is the wonderful sound quality you get from its headphone jack. So it's a great headphone sub-mixer. Mackie mixers are also known for their excellent sounding EQs and this unit won't let you down there either. This MicroSeries 1202 Mixer works and sounds great in a wind controller rig. This unit has a bit of residue on the back from some tape that was removed but that is just cosmetic. All knobs are present and working great.

RARE!! Roland EM-101 Sound Plus MIDI Sound Module - PRICE REDUCED!!!

Here is a SUPER RARE Roland EM-101 Sound Plus MIDI Sound Module. This an early vintage MIDI sound module from approximately 1985-1986.

The Roland EM-101 is an interesting module with some classic sweet sounding analog type sounds built-in. Apparently it's like a Roland Juno-106 with only 1 VCF across all the notes. With its analog filter, it has a very warm and pleasing sound.

The front panel has switches for Ensemble/Solo which selects a sound from either the top row or bottom row. The top row sounds are 8 note polyphonic, the bottom row sounds are monophoninc with top note priority. The top row (polyphonic) sounds are: Strings 1, Strings 2, Organ 1, Organ 2, Organ 3, Brass 1, Brass 2, and Synth. The bottom row (monophonic) sounds are: Bass 1, Bass 2, Cello, Clarinet, Flute, Violin, Synth 1, and Synth 2. There is also a Brilliance switch which allows you to adjust the brilliance/brightness of the bottom row/monophonic sounds only (hold down the Brilliance switch and use the patch select buttons to set the brilliance level). There is also a front panel power switch and sliders for Volume, Dynamics (adjusts the response to MIDI velocity including optional reversed response!), and Attack (the attack time of the sound). The rear panel has MIDI IN, MIDI THRU, a Fine Tune knob, a 1/4" Remote jack, a switch for High/Low output level, Stereo 1/4" output jacks, and a 1/4" Mix In jack. Everything on this module has been checked out by Matt Traum here at Patchman Music and works well. The unit looks great and plays in tune- amazing for analog synth from 1985!
